The village butcher,
Mr. McRoast was examining them thoroughly in the way he once checked
carcasses before chopping them into different cuts of meat. Mr. McRoast
had always been a grumpy old man—the type of person you’d cross a
highway to avoid. But since that cup of tea a few days earlier he’d
become even grumpier, for the scigic in the water had changed him. Now
he had the body of a lion and three heads, one a goat head, one a wolf
head and the third an eagle head. And to make matters even worse—all
three had headaches. |
