| In Medusa Island: | These were
the three Cyclopes that grudgingly guarded the castle for Doctor X.
Twice the size of a man these mean creatures would sooner bite off a
baby’s head than change its diaper. Their greenish bodies were covered
in a mass of yellow wart-like lumps that made them look like they had
some dreadful disease. Atop each of their massive bodies was a horned
head with a single round eye right in the middle of the forehead. These ill tempered creatures were Brontes, Argos and Steropes. Before they’d drunk Doctor X’s serum Brontes had been a pet parrot called Satan, Argos was Mr. Porridge the librarian and Steropes, Melissa’s father. Doctor X had forced them to guard the castle. For the past three days and nights they’d marched around it non-stop—without even a break to go to the restroom (so you can understand why they were extra, extra grumpy). |
