| In Medusa Island: | Elizabeth now had long straggly grey hair and a face that was so haggard even the wrinkles had wrinkles. Her smile revealed teeth so decayed maggots crawled amongst them. Alice had cropped blue hair and ears so big she could flap them to keep herself cool. She had so many warts on her face that they fought each other for breathing space. Hannah’s most striking feature was a long twisted nose that constantly dripped yellowish-purple mucus. From time to time she licked it off with her long forked tongue. The girls now argued constantly about who was the ugliest. |
