Nine-Headed-Hydra |

Island: |
The creature
was a Nine-Headed-Hyrda though previously it had been Ben Cattlegrid the
rather eccentric farmer who owned most of the east of the island. To say
that a Nine-Headed-Hyrda is big is a bit like calling a blue whale a
cute little goldfish. A Nine-Headed-Hyrda is in fact extraordinarily,
massively, hugely gigantic with a little bit added on. Its body looks
like an overgrown dragon, with rough scaly skin and a long spiky tail.
At the other end, of course, are its nine heads. Each of these has an
immense horn sharp enough to rip open a submarine and a mouth full of
flesh-shredding teeth. Should any of its heads be knocked off in battle
the Hydra simply grew a new one—a useful feature when there’s a lot of
fighting to be done. |
